Apple just announced WWDC 2025 will take place on June 9th and ahead of the keynote the main deal for this year’s conference has leaked.

It’s called Quantum Review (QR) and it’s poised to fundamentally rewrite how we understand programming and the process of creating great software.

What Is Quantum Commit Review?

QR is Apple’s fusion of quantum computing principles with developer tooling. Using a superposition model, it allows developers to both submit and withhold pull requests simultaneously until the code is observed.

Developers no longer have to decide when to raise a PR. Instead, every code change is simultaneously in a state of pending and approved, until a senior dev opens the file. At that point, reality collapses into a reviewed state and is instantly merged and released.

How Does It Work?

Using a combination of LLM analysis git heuristics and quantum flux patterns observed from your Apple Silicon chip’s thermal emissions, QR introduces these new great tools:

Schrödinger’s Merge

Conflicts exist only when perceived. Until then, your branch is always green and ready to release.
