Make Designers Part of Scrum Teams (Agile Software Development)

Scrum teams are very important in the production of software artefacts.

UX, developers, the Scrum Master and Product owner should work closely together in order to create valuable high-quality software. However a developer may have different bottlenecks and expectations in comparison with the rest of the SCRUM team. How can we possibly square that circle?

A Designer outside the SCRUM team

A developer might work on multiple projects, and sit outside the SCRUM team. This is often chosen as the solution in SCRUM teams, particularly if the designer is not involved in a number of Sprints.

However, this can be seen as an un-SCRUM-like approach. Development teams should have all of the resources they need to complete their Sprint tasks, and how are they going to do this without a designer on the team?
